I spent a lot of time administrating minecraft servers. I always thought roleplaying and minecraft were a good combination.
I even got a couple of stories about a time I created a little nation roleplay in a server. We had a group called the Coalition of Governments that had the same power as the UN. It was good fun.

We should arrange a server and play out a roleplay as our nations. Like arrange deals to help construct buildings, exchange resources, and handle territory. We couldn't really have "wars" per say, but we could have fights and espionage for disputes.

We couldn't really have "wars" per say, but we could have fights and espionage for disputes. We did something like this, we each had territory with accommodation set-up. Had a UN building with our embassies built outside in a long avenue. It eventually just turned into a bunch of 1 man countries, so actual PvP and espionage would all have to be played out and/or role a dice, but it was great seeing the trading happening. EDIT: I could pull some strings and get a minecraft server going if I have high enough demand and I mean serious demand.

Eh, I used to run various servers, but the fun has really dried up for me, and the minecraft RP community is HORRIBLE. I had one server who's owner just gave up because he wanted it to be full medieval grim dark and people didn't like dying literally every time they logged in because if they didn't do exactly as this owner and his two friends said, their characters were instantly executed by him.
Of course, when he gave up because no-one liked it, he decided to go with all of his friends, switch to black skins or even black face skins (yes, there are skins purposefully designed to look like blackface) and then went around being as racist as possible. Assholes.
But yeah, I guess we could start one up. There would be strict restrictions on faction creating, however. Nothing is worse than 1 thousand 1 man armies. But I'd rather RP through different means.

The kind of RP I used to do was quite primitive. It was all done on a survival server that was never made for the purpose of rp. We just went ahead and all formed nations. Set some borders and created a UN building. The territory disputes started relatively quickly and it was all fun from there. We generally had to solve wars by flipping coins or using Civ and other means. It was quite fun for the time it lasted and I'm sure a server made for the purpose of rp would be even better.
